Mobile Field Data Collection using OpenDataKit (ODK)

Presented by Open Data Kit (ODK) is a free and open-source set of tools which help organizations author, field, and manage mobile data collection solutions. ODK tools are versatile and designed to work in completely offline environments. In this workshop, you will learn about different ODK tools and how to set them up for your field data collection project. You will design a tree survey form and do a short field data collection exercise using Android phones. Main aims and goal:Introduce the participants to OpenDataKit (ODK) and give practical skills to setup ODK tools for their own field data collection needs. Target audience:Students and researchers who need to carry out field data collection.
