J. N. Tata Auditorium National Science Seminar Complex (NSSC) Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru

Participants are advised to enter through the IISc main gate and follow campus signage towards the National Science Seminar Complex (NSSC).

Airport Shuttle Service:

  • To reach IISc from Kempegowda International Airport (KIAL): Use KIAS Route 10 and get off at the “Tata Institute” drop point.
  • Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) runs buses from various points of the city every 15–60 minutes to KIAL.

Auto Rickshaws:

  • Easily available and can be flagged down in any part of the city.
  • Most drivers are multilingual (Kannada, Hindi, English).
  • Fare: Rs 13.00 per km with a minimum fare of Rs 25.00 for the first 1.9 km.
  • Always insist on being charged by the meter rate.
  • Between 10:00 p.m. and 05:00 a.m., charges are 1.5 times the normal meter reading.
  • Prepaid auto service is recommended where possible.

From Bengaluru City Railway Station (Majestic):

  • Distance: About 7 km from IISc.
  • Prepaid auto-rickshaw facility is available.
  • Bus services from Majestic bus station: Bus Route nos. 252 E, 258 C, 271 E, 273 C, 275, 276, 99 A and B.
  • Alight at TATA INSTITUTE Bus Stop.

From Bengaluru Cantonment Railway Station:

  • Similar distance to Bengaluru City railway station.
  • Prepaid auto-rickshaw facility is available.
  • Bus services from the bus stop opposite the station: Route Nos. 94 A and E, 252 A, 270 A, 272, 276 A.

From Yeshwantpur Railway Station:

  • Auto rickshaw ride costs around Rs. 50.
  • Yeshwantpur is very close to IISc.
  • Two exits at the station, with the main entrance/exit near platform 6 having a prepaid auto stand.
  • Remember to refer to IISc as the "Tata Institute" for better communication with drivers and conductors.
