Applications are now open for volunteers for the 17th edition of the Student Conference on Conservation Science – Bengaluru 2026.

The conference is organised annually by students and young professionals, with volunteers playing a central role in planning and coordinating the event. Volunteers contribute across participant coordination, session management, logistics, communications, media support, registrations, venue coordination, and general conference operations.

Volunteer Responsibilities

Depending on interests, availability, and conference requirements, volunteers may assist with:

Eligibility Requirements

Before applying, please ensure that you meet the following requirements:

  • You are currently based in Bengaluru
  • You will be available in person in Bengaluru throughout the volunteering period from June to September 2026
  • You are able to attend all conference days in person, including the full preparation day prior to the conference: 27 September – 1 October 2026
  • You are enthusiastic about working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment

Yes. Food and refreshments will be provided during conference days. In specific cases, expenses may be reimbursed according to conference guidelines.

Volunteers may attend selected sessions depending on their coordination schedules and assigned duties.

10. How will volunteers be selected?

The organising team will review applications based on commitment, interest, and suitability for various roles.

12. Can applicants outside Bengaluru apply?

No. Since consistent on-ground coordination is required, only applicants currently residing in Bengaluru are eligible.
